· April 30 – cultural performance by the Yellowhouse Dancers– 11:00 The Yellowhouse Dancers will provide a 45-minute school-wide presentation that includes flute music, live First Nations drumming, singing and dancing. The group consists of three world champion hoop dancers, including Alex Wells from the Lil'wat Nation in Mt. Currie.
May 3 – Wacky Hair Day
· May 3-Kindergarten Reception Night at the Public Library – A Message from the library spokesperson: “We invite kindergarten students and their families to come to the library in their pajamas for an hour of stories and refreshments. Library staff and teachers are set up at various stations around the library, and children rotate through in groups, listening to a story at each station. At the end a snack is served, and each child goes home with their own Franklin book to keep. This year, we have the event set for Friday, May 3rd from 6:30-7:30 PM. “

· May 7—Class and School Panorama photos
· May 8- Our class is participating in the Stawamus Reserve Shoreline study. We will leave Mamquam at 11:40 and return near 3:00. The class will learn about local shoreline environment and ecology.
